As It Is or As I Am – the Art of Becoming

A journey … towards … being

Goldfish and triad thoughts

These thoughts and feelings were flowing through me on Monday at the course. For some reason didn’t share them. Partly there was not enough time. Next week I shall.

Having had a year out of training the prospect of participating in a goldfish particularly excites me. What a great opportunity to learn more about myself from others. It provides practice at shutting the rest of the world out through centring myself on the client and not paying attention to those observing.

While I feel keen to take part I recognise for others it can be very daunting. Counselling in front of others initially can be scary as you wonder am I doing things right, which is off putting. Plus, the thought of feedback from the whole group or community can be quite frightening.
